a) Education, degrees and diplomas.

►1974, graduate of the secondary school in Brăila (Romania).

►1976-1980, undergraduate study of History and Philosphy Faculty at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University Iaşi (Romania).

►1980, degree (Bachelor) in history (ancient history), with the dissertation: The Currency of the Byzantine Coins at the North of the Lower Danube in the 6th-7th Centuries. Supervisor: Professor Mircea Petrescu-Dîmboviţa.

►1999, PhD in history at the “Al. I. Cuza” University Iaşi, with the thesis: The Byzantine Civilization and the Society from the Extra-Carpathian Regions of Romania in the 6th-8th Centuries . Supervisor: Professor Dan Gh. Teodor.

b) Professional experience, former employers.

→ 1980-1990, High school  teacher and archaeologist in Constanţa, Romania.

→ 1990-present, researcher II at the Romanian Institute of Archaeology Iaşi, Romania.

My research interests includes: Greek, Roman and Byzantine Archaeology and History, Epigraphy, Numismatics, Sigillography and Ancient Glass.

→ 1973-present, archaeological excavations in and field investigations in the ancient sites: Cucuteni, Histria, Constanta, Sinoe, Valea Casimcei, Adamclisi, Dumbraveni, Harsova, Oltina, Slava Rusa, Iasi, Botosani, Oltina, Ostrov.

→ 1994, member of Rei Cretariae Romanae Favtores (RCRF), Marea Britanie.

→ since 2002, secretary  assistant II of the Editorial Board  at Arheologia Moldovei, Iaşi.

→ 2003, rédacteur en chef at Strabon. Bulletin d’informations historiques, Iasi.
